Food Sites
For individuals and families
Foodbank will operate a food distribution site at the Greenbrier YWCA (1033 Greenbrier Pkwy, Chesapeake, VA 23320) Tuesdays from 5:30-7:30pm, and Fridays from 9-11am.
Buffalow Family and Friends- Nischelle’s team is serving food to those in need all over the city. From Holly Cove, South Norfolk and low income senior communities.

Chesapeake Public Schools COVID 19 information- CPS has a wealth of information to help families navigate this difficult time away from school. Don’t miss their Let’s Talk app on the side where families can send in questions. Churches and other community volunteers are connected and helping to get resources to families. CPS is serving approximately 1500 meals per day to children in need.

Chesapeake Department of Social Services while the building is closed to the public, all other services will remain available, through the use of technology and other alternative means of service delivery to minimize close contact.

Peninsula Maternal Mental Health Coalition is opening their prenatal/ new mom classes via Zoom. Open to all mothers living in Virginia regardless of the age of their child/children. See attached and share. Information here.

Kids, Kin, N' Caregivers will have virtual information/conversation groups for adults on
the following days and times:

• Wednesdays – 8:00 pm – 9:30 pm

• Thursdays – 8:45 am – 10:00 am

• Thursdays – 1:15 pm – 2:45 pm
They will also have a virtual activity group for youth (11-15) on Wednesdays
3:15 pm – 430 pm.
