For individuals and families

Foodbank will operate a food distribution site at the Greenbrier YWCA (1033 Greenbrier Pkwy, Chesapeake, VA 23320)  Tuesdays from 5:30-7:30pm, and Fridays from 9-11am.

  • Drop by a Chesapeake Public Library! 

Although all Chesapeake Public Library branches are CLOSED to the public, they are still offering valuable services. Through their curbside service program, you can pick up items on hold, send a fax, pick up printed documents, take a Craft to Go Kit, and take a book from the Friends of the Library! For curbside service hours and info on digital services, visit Infopeake.org.

In Need of Assistance?

Chesapeake Department of Social Services while the building is closed to the public,  all other services will remain available, through the use of technology and other alternative means of service delivery to minimize close contact.

UnitedWay SHR is helping those in need of assistance due to the Coronavirus.

In Need of Support?

  • New Mothers-

Peninsula Maternal Mental Health Coalition is opening their prenatal/ new mom classes via Zoom. Open to all mothers living in Virginia regardless of the age of their child/children. See attached and share. Information here.

  • Grandfamilies-

Kids, Kin, N' Caregivers will have virtual information/conversation groups for adults on
the following days and times:

  1. • Wednesdays – 8:00 pm – 9:30 pm

  2. • Thursdays – 8:45 am – 10:00 am

  3. • Thursdays – 1:15 pm – 2:45 pm

They will also have a virtual activity group for youth (11-15) on Wednesdays
3:15 pm – 430 pm.
